The Epson MovieMate 72 is one of new class of video projectors that includes a built-in DVD player. This projector section utilizes 3LCD technology with 1280x720 (720p) native resolution. This means that all DVDs played in the projector's built-in DVD will be upscaled to 720p. In addition, this unit also has extra inputs that can accommodate a second DVD player, Blu-ray, or HD-DVD player and also has both built-in speakers and a digital audio output for connection to a home theater audio system. The OPPO OPDVDV980H is a feature-packed DVD player that delivers what it promises. HDMI connectivity and upscaling enables the DV980H to deliver an excellent picture on an HDTV. In addition, other features, such as SACD, DVD-Audio, and Divx playback, as well as a front mounted USB port for importing images and sound from flash drives, add great audio and video flexibility. If you are looking for a new DVD player to use with an HDTV or Video Projector, and surround sound system, make sure you check this one out. If you are considering a Plasma Television, put this one on the top of your list. In addition to 1080p resolution, this set also has a 5,000:1 constrast ratio, and 60,000 hour screen life. Inputs include HDMI, HD-component, S-video, Composite, and a VGA input for PCs. There are larger Plasmas, but combining a good performing set with a decent 42-inch screen size, native 1080p resolution, and a price less than $2,500, the Panasonic TH-42PZ700U may be hard to pass up.
Samsung's LN-T2342H 23-Inch LCD television offers great styling and performance that can fit just about anywhere. With a 16x9 aspect ratio screen, 1366x768 native pixel resolution, 4,000:1 Contrast Ratio, and 8ms response time, this set delivers great image quality, especially from high definition sources. In addtion, the LN-T2342H features two HDMI inputs, a PC monitor input, and built-in NTSC/ATSC/QAM tuners that allow access to both analog and digital television broadcasts. If you are looking for a smaller LCD set for an office or bedroom, or an LCD TV than can double as a large size PC monitor, check out the Samsung LN-T2342H as a possible choice.
The Panasonic DMR-EZ47VK has just about everything a user needs in a DVD recorder/VCR combo, including the ability to record most DVD formats and play back most DVD and CD formats, including Divx, MP3, and Divx files. In addition using the VCR section, the consumer can both record directly to VHS or dub non-copyprotected video content from VHS to DVD or DVD to VHS. Also, with Panasonic's enhanced 4-hour recording mode, you can record sporting events and longer movies onto DVD with the same video quality as the 2-hour recording mode. The incorporation of HDMI and video upscaling makes the EZ47VK a good partner for use with an HDTV. The 47VK also has an ATSC tuner, for the reception of digital tv signals after Feb. 17, 2009.
